Category Responsibilities:
- Provides cross-functional team leadership and collaborates with manager to create long-term supplier strategies.
- Co-leads direct procurement supplier selection with Supplier Engineering, leveraging strategic sourcing practices.
- Prioritizes category team projects and presents category strategy reviews.
Supplier Performance Management:
- Leads supplier scorecarding and business reviews for assigned suppliers.
- Proactively communicates demand changes to minimize excess inventory or shortages.
- Drives continuous improvement and escalates issues with executive leadership as needed.
Risk and Capacity Management:
- Develops mitigation plans for assigned suppliers and sub-tier suppliers.
- Leads capacity assessments and anticipates long-term risks with proactive mitigations.
- May serve as project manager for key supplier capacity or risk initiatives.
