Job Description
The Avaya/Nortel to Cisco Webex Migration Specialist role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of experience with Cisco Collaboration technologies and Avaya or Nortel PBX/voice systems. The specialist should have strong expertise in Cisco Collaboration technologies, including Cisco Webex Dedicated Instance (DI), Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), and Cisco Expressway Webex Control Hub. Experience with SIP trunking, CUBE, and SBCs (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Oracle, Cisco) is necessary, as well as an understanding of legacy voice protocols (PRI, TDM, H.323) and modern VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, SRTP). Hands-on experience with voice migration projects including coexistence scenarios is important. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing skills are essential.
