This is a foundational hire for the legal and compliance team of a rapidly growing fintech, so it comes with built-in opportunity for professional growth and development. The initial focus of this role will be commercial contracting, and responsibilities will quickly expand to include regulatory and operational matters. To that end, this could be an ideal opportunity for a rock-solid transactional attorney with a desire to become an in-house generalist. It could also be a great match for a fintech generalist that wants to develop subject matter expertise in consumer lending. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with merchants and vendors, supporting business development, customer service, serving as an in-house subject matter expert on lending regulations, and providing legal support for Compliance and Operational Risk programs.
