- Provide leadership to managers and professional staff, being accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
- Develop departmental plans including business, production, and organizational priorities, guiding decisions based on resource availability.

- Oversee mechanical engineers in designing and analyzing components using CAD software and other modeling tools to communicate conceptual designs.
- Lead prototype testing to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety, reviewing data to develop improvements and ensure best practices.
Team and Operations Management:
- Delegate workflow and implement policies to complete projects on time within required specifications and quality standards.
- Manage personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination, with concurrence from HR and General Managers.
