Staff Software Engineer V - PagerDuty Automation

PagerDuty is seeking a Staff Software Engineer V to join our diverse, customer-focused team. As Staff Software Engineer V, you will work across two teams on all things automation for PagerDuty and drive automation architecture across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include defining the technical vision, architecture, and strategic direction for PagerDuty Workflow Automation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with engineering management, product leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify critical technology investments and act as a technical leader in SaaS development and cloud-native architectures. The role involves owning the end-to-end lifecycle of technology initiatives, driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, and mentoring senior engineers. Must have extensive experience influencing engineering direction across teams, setting technical roadmaps, and providing mentorship for senior engineers.
