Managed Services Operations Lead - FinOps

Technical Leadership and Solution Design:

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Cloud FinOps Engineers, resolving complex technical and financial analysis scenarios.
• Lead the development, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade FinOps solutions, including AI-enabled capabilities where they deliver measurable client value.
• Establish project estimates and plans, identify risks and mitigations, and oversee the development and delivery of technical FinOps solutions.

Cloud Cost Analysis and Optimization:

• Lead deep-dive investigations into cloud spend drivers, billing anomalies, and optimization opportunities across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Define the methodology for identifying, quantifying, prioritizing, and driving optimization opportunities including rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, and licensing alignment.
• Extend cost analysis to SaaS, software licensing, and marketplace spend where within scope.

Allocation, Unit Economics, and Reporting Architecture:

• Lead the design of cost allocation, tagging strategy, showback, chargeback, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization across cloud providers.
• Define unit economics frameworks and own the architecture of dashboards, reports, budgets, and executive summaries.
• Establish data validation standards and tagging governance, including policy-as-code and automated remediation.

Mentorship and Practice Development:

• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to Cloud FinOps Engineers.
• Develop and maintain standards, data models, playbooks, and automation to improve practice maturity.
• Monitor delivery hours against contracted allocations and coordinate overage or rescoping through change requests.
