Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs supporting the Enterprise Data Access Service (EDAS) and TAG data products.
- Define and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications while implementing secure, versioned APIs.
- Design and develop cloud-hosted application services using Microsoft Azure, including microservices and API hosting solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs and cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise with REST APIs, OpenAPI, JSON, OAuth 2.0, Mutual TLS, and secure API design.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience supporting VA, DoD, or other Federal agencies and integrating healthcare systems.
- Microsoft Azure certifications and familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid.
- Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, Zero Trust architecture, and DevSecOps practices.
