Software Engineer

New Relic's APM+ product organization develops New Relic APM language agents, Mobile and browser agents, Otel APM agents and collector and APM experiences including Distributed tracing, Errors-in-box for on-prem and cloud customers. The APM Java language agent team develops and maintains instrumentation for all the JVM based languages/frameworks such as Scala, Kotlin, etc., and they also develop tools to build, deploy and maintain products. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining New Relic and Otel Java open-source instrumentation agents and support tools. Participation in architectural definitions with a high degree of innovation and creativity is expected, as well as creating automation and tooling to make their systems more reliable and easier to deploy. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to help customers and partners is also a key aspect of the role.
