Job Duties:
- Review and interpret clinician assessments for prior authorization approvals and care plan recommendations.
- Monitor and evaluate therapies for side effects or other medication related issues, recommend drug therapy changes.
- Supervise communication of support personnel compliant with HIPAA rules and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in South Carolina, Georgia, or Tennessee with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, deep knowledge of specialty medication pharmacology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of EPIC/QS1/WILLOW software a plus.
Experience and Traits:
- 1+ years of experience preferred but not required; commitment to obtain required licensure as needed.
- Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator.
- Energetic, highly motivated team player with discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
