Job Duties:

  • Review and interpret clinician assessments for prior authorization approvals and care plan recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate therapies for side effects or other medication related issues, recommend drug therapy changes.
  • Supervise communication of support personnel compliant with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in South Carolina, Georgia, or Tennessee with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, deep knowledge of specialty medication pharmacology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of EPIC/QS1/WILLOW software a plus.

Experience and Traits:

  • 1+ years of experience preferred but not required; commitment to obtain required licensure as needed.
  • Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator.
  • Energetic, highly motivated team player with discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
