  • Assist patients with insurance claims, medication access challenges, and promote adherence through phone support.

  • Develop and execute limited distribution drug strategies in partnership with biopharmaceutical manufacturers to expand specialty medication access for health system partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for medication access issues, resolve barriers, and represent Shields at industry meetings and conferences.
  • Support strategic trade relations initiatives, specialty pharmacy growth, and market access efforts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate directly with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals and prior authorizations.
  • Navigate pharmacy systems to enter data, adjudicate claims, and document patient interactions across multiple databases.
  • Provide compassionate phone support to patients, helping them manage refills, medication adherence, and pharmacy-related questions.
