Responsibilities:
- Develop construction cost estimates from detailed drawings, specifications, and other project information.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and apply appropriate markups for overhead and profit.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure accurate pricing.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating principles and ability to read construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software.
- Degree in Estimating or three years of construction estimating experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Micro-Computer Aided Cost Estimating System (MCACES).
- Knowledge of federal agency standards, especially US Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification.
CLIENT
This role provides construction cost estimating support for capital projects with Federal agencies. The company is seeking an experienced estimator to work on projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $30M.
