Senior Technical Support Specialist - Linux/PACS

The Senior Technical Support Specialist - Linux / PACS is an essential member of our IT team dedicated to healthcare, specializing in radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and other medical imaging solutions. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for radiology IT systems in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers, working closely with radiologists, IT teams, and vendors to ensure optimal system performance, maximum availability, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities include providing technical support for radiology IT systems, resolving issues related to systems, optimizing workflows, supporting DICOM, HL7, maintaining clear communication with clients, participating in disaster recovery planning, and documenting troubleshooting activities. Qualifications include a degree in computer engineering or a related field, at least 3 years of experience in healthcare IT, strong troubleshooting skills, practical knowledge of Linux architecture, experience in scripting or automation, and solid communication skills. Experience with PACS, RIS, VNA systems, knowledge of DICOM, HL7, IHE standards, and proficiency in Windows operating systems are also required. A Red Hat certification and knowledge of cloud-based medical imaging solutions are preferred.
