General Counsel

Lead and manage the legal, compliance and privacy functions, including managing outside counsel and future legal hires. Responsible for identifying, defining and executing on business goals and metrics for the legal, compliance and privacy functions in the context of broader business and company objectives. Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across corporate, commercial, product, privacy, and regulatory domains to all stakeholders. Oversight of drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of agreements including vendor, partnership, licensing, and commercial contracts. Advise on and support regulatory compliance with applicable federal and state financial services laws, including consumer protection laws, privacy regulations and marketing practices. Collaborate with product, marketing and engineering teams to ensure existing and new features and initiatives are compliant with applicable laws and industry standards. Manage corporate governance matters and support fundraising, M&A, and strategic transactions.
