Staff Forward Deployed Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end customer engagements, architecting multi-cloud deployments, writing production-grade code, and guiding projects to cut-over.
• Build complex data pipelines and integrations across cloud data platforms to ensure customer outcomes.
• Modify Matillion’s codebase when platform features are missing, adhering to strict engineering and security standards.

What We Look For:

• 5+ years in production-grade software development and data integration with expert Python, SQL, and object-oriented skills (Java/Go).
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider.
• Hands-on experience with scalable data pipelines and cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
