Senior Oracle Database Developer (Contractor)

Job Description:

• You will serve as the primary database subject matter expert, architecting and optimizing complex database pipelines for a statewide education data project.
• You will work within an Agile development lifecycle, optimizing query performance and integrating JSON-based data structures in Oracle.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee data accuracy and system integrity.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Architect robust data-manipulation routines for JSON and perform database performance tuning.
• Partner with full-stack engineers to troubleshoot integration bottlenecks and conduct unit testing.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of enterprise database experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including performance tuning.
• 4+ years of specialized JSON and optimization experience within Oracle.
• Preferred: experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Nomad, and TSDS or similar education platforms.
