Job Description

Manage Twilio’s compliance with U.S. export control and sanctions laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for furthering Twilio’s commitment to compliance with U.S. export control and sanctions laws and regulations. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of export and sanctions laws, regulations, and administrative agency practice including, but not limited to, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) economic sanctions and the Bureau of Industry and Security’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Provide legal advice on sanctions and export controls to business operations, senior business leaders, and other key stakeholders on a broad range of sanction and export related regulatory, commercial, and diligence matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support, further develop, and implement Twilio's sanctions compliance program. Participate in the implementation and enforcement of a governance framework, including defining and implementing control processes, and testing/monitoring plans to ensure operations remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
