Job Description
Manage and oversee payroll processes for multiple countries in the APAC region, with primary focus on Japan. This position requires extensive knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, and best practices related to payroll and compensation & benefits administration.
Responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining payroll records and reports, leading and mentoring a team of payroll professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes, and managing vendor relationships to ensure payroll systems are optimized for efficiency. This role also leads in audit requests and payroll implementation projects for countries in APAC.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in payroll management with a focus on the APAC region. Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with proficiency in using payroll and HRIS software (Workday, ADP GlobalView, and Celergo preferred). Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Human Resources or a similar function is required, and fluency in English and Japanese is preferred.
