Job Description
As the Buyer at Upstart, you will be a crucial part of the Procurement team, a newly formed function. You will guide users through the Procure-to-Order (P2O) process, ensuring adherence to controls and a positive customer experience. A key responsibility is providing first-line support, including guiding users through intake, providing training, and answering questions. You will also monitor requests, collaborate with SME groups on stale requests, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
You will ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, maintain data in Procurementβs database, and process/manage POs through Procurement Systems. The role also involves reporting on metrics, creating dashboards, and conducting pricing negotiations for low-risk purchases. Upstart is a digital-first company, and the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely.
