Engineering Manager, Foundations: Import

As an Engineering Manager for the Foundations: Import group you‘ll have the opportunity to lead a team of talented engineers pushing a core part of GitLab to the forefront of our industry. You will have your engineers’ well-being as top priority as you create the conditions for a world-class team delivering impactful results for our customers, all while continuing to seek opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency of the team’s efforts. As necessary, you’ll drive hiring efforts to capture top-tier talent shaping the team to better support the company’s objectives and goals. Manage team activities and ensure project delivery. Support engineers' professional growth and skill development. Create detailed project plans for epics. Execute agile project management processes. Foster empathy and address team concerns. Recruit globally-distributed talent and conduct interviews. Cultivate a psychologically safe team environment. Implement process improvements to boost productivity. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and provide feedback.
