Counsel

We are looking to add a Counsel to our Legal, Risk, and Compliance team. In this role, you will support legal and compliance functions across Valon’s growing mortgage lending and servicing businesses. You will work closely with more senior attorneys and business stakeholders to help navigate the legal and regulatory landscape as we continue to scale our loan portfolio and develop our technology platform. You’ll have exposure to a wide range of mortgage-related legal issues, from supporting new product features and operational initiatives to assisting with loan-level escalations and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with legal and regulatory issues in mortgage lending and servicing, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to dig into complex problems.
