AI Solutions Engineer

About the Team:

• People Tech & Analytics (PTA) builds and owns the data, AI, and technology infrastructure for Affirm's People function.
• The team runs like a product engineering group embedded in HR, owning the full stack from data ingestion to production applications.

About the Role:

• This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered systems for the People function and broader employee base.
• You will work closely with non-technical partners, turning rough processes into production systems while navigating security and data governance constraints.

What You'll Do:

• Build and ship AI agents, APIs, and applications on Affirm's internal platform, owning the full lifecycle from architecture through production.
• Integrate with Workday, Notion, and case management tools to surface real answers from governed content.
• Design reliability infrastructure for multi-model LLM services, including fallback chains and quality controls to catch hallucinations.
