Job Description

The Accounts Director role involves business development and prospecting. This includes soliciting, confirming, and servicing travel agent, wholesale, negotiated, and transient accounts, including negotiating rates and confirming contracts that ensure targeted budget achievement. The role requires identifying and creating target accounts or agencies that will generate business for the hotel without conflicting with WSO efforts. It utilizes various tools like arrival reports, Hotelligence, Opera business intelligence, and lists to solicit and secure business. The director uses company-wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events, and reporting for business development. Responsibilities include following up on business inquiries and leads, qualifying business to generate room nights and impact RevPar performance, impacting corporate sales production for maximum account penetration, and creating and executing account plans for top accounts. It involves achieving monthly and annual revenue and direct sales goals, managing the annual RFP process for individual targeted accounts, and uncovering potential P2P leads for sister properties. The position requires proficiency in required languages, good references, working computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Internet, and Opera), a college degree or equivalent experience, luxury hotel sales experience (minimum 3 years) or operational hotel experience, and a proven sales track record.
