Research and Development Manager (R&D)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full product development lifecycle from concept through to mass production for consumer goods.
• Manage prototype, sampling, tooling, and pre-production cycles to ensure quality and timeline adherence.
• Identify and vet suppliers, conduct factory audits, and manage relationships as the primary on-ground contact.

Project and Quality Management:

• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers to drive performance.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and detailed cost breakdowns, leading cost optimization efforts.
• Define quality standards, coordinate testing for certifications, and manage inspection and CAPA processes.

Strategic and Commercial Execution:

• Oversee packaging development to ensure compliance with shipping, retail, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive project execution, stakeholder communication, and market intelligence including trend analysis.
• Manage IP/risk protection, including supplier coordination and protection of designs and confidentiality.
