Staff Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Draft motions and perform legal research, managing litigation involving claims up to approximately $500,000 exposure.
• Lead settlement negotiations, participate in hearings and trials, and support senior counsel in case preparation.
• Develop legal strategies, employ e-discovery tools, and provide strategic advice to clients and Claims Representatives.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to the California bar in good standing, with 5+ years of trial attorney experience.
• Proven experience in insurance law and managing moderately complex litigation with exceptional research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in legal technology, ability to mentor junior staff, and commitment to ethical legal practice and compliance.
