Product Manager, Observability

The Role:

• You will own the strategy and roadmap for Vercel's observability products, including Runtime Logs, OpenTelemetry tracing, and Drains.
• You will partner closely with engineering and design to help customers understand and debug what they run on Vercel.
• You will report to the product lead and work in a hybrid setup based in New York, with remote flexibility for those beyond commuting distance.

What You'll Do:

• Turn ambiguous signal from support escalations, customer interviews, and usage data into a sequenced plan with clear tradeoffs.
• Define the native-vs-integrate line and make Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, Honeycomb, and New Relic work seamlessly.
• Own metrics that tell you it's working, and hold the team to them.

What You Need:

• 5+ years in product management on developer, infrastructure, or data-intensive products.
• Ability to read a trace waterfall and reason about cardinality, sampling, and retention costs.
• Fluency with data, writing your own queries, and comfort owning a domain end to end.
