Staff Software Engineer, Checkout Platform

About the role:

• You will play a leading role in designing and building our future headless checkout platform.
• You will have a high level of technical autonomy and shape architecture from the ground up.
• You will contribute directly to implementation while influencing technical decisions beyond the team.

About your tasks:

• Build and evolve the Core Commerce Services platform from early design to production.
• Shape the architecture by defining APIs, domain boundaries, and integration patterns.
• Mentor and grow engineers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews.

About you:

• You bring strong Java and backend engineering expertise with experience in distributed systems.
• You have operated at Staff/Principal level with strong system design and architecture capabilities.
• You are comfortable working in a greenfield environment and turning ambiguity into decisions.
