Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to external (patients, families, referring providers, insurance) and internal customers (OHSU staff).
- Communicate professionally, manage crises, process complaints, and improve service.
Patient Access:
- Coordinate patient appointments and managed care as directed by physicians and nurses.
- Serve as a liaison, return messages, prepare packets, direct patients, and route referrals.
- Enter patient information accurately into OHSU databases, gathering demographics, insurance, and financial status.
Telecommunications:
- Triage and document telephone calls, including medication refills, complaints, and urgent health concerns.
- Deliver information to providers promptly.
- Schedule basic appointments and process calls in a polite manner.
