Experience:
- 3 years experience required, 6 – 10 years experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in coding inpatient accounts.
- Complex outpatient coding of Observation, Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy Infusion, Surgery, Cardiology Cath, EP and/or Interventional Radiology.
Education:
- High School/GED Required
- Technical/Vocational School Preferred
License/Certification:
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, CCVTC and/or any of the Core Credentials or specialty credential of AAPC or AHIMA.
