Semantic Infrastructure Development:
- Develop and maintain metadata, ontology standards, and terminology tooling for enterprise clinical data.
- Design and govern ontologies and controlled vocabularies, ensuring consistency and fitness for use.
Healthcare Integration Standards Oversight:
- Provide expert oversight of HL7 v2, C-CDA, FHIR, and other standards, resolving conflicting interpretations.
- Guide implementation of standards and validate conformance to VHA requirements.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Serve as liaison between VHA teams and standards bodies, including HL7, SNOMED International, and CDISC.
- Provide training and leadership in health standards to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
