Key Responsibilities:
- Post insurance and patient payments into billing software according to explanation of benefits or patient pay stubs.
- Perform research of unidentified payments and credit balances, and initiate refunds as per policy.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, download electronic remittances, and maintain file retention for all facilities.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in finance, business, or healthcare, or equivalent experience in healthcare, financial, or customer service setting.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to navigate multiple websites to find insurance EOBs.
- Medical terminology required or completion within probationary period.
