Design Engineer

What You'll Own:

• Design system integrity across Figma and code, including React components, tokens, and patterns, while ensuring synchronization with production.
• UI quality across the product, focusing on transitions, micro-interactions, responsive behavior, loading states, and accessibility.
• Tooling and ways of working, building internal tools, prototyping workflows, and process improvements to make the team faster and the product better.

How You'll Work:

• Partner collaboratively with product designers on experience strategy and directly with engineers to establish patterns and review implementations.
• Operate with high ownership and low ego, mentoring on UI craft and leading through systems and influence as a hands-on individual contributor.

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of production frontend experience in complex, component-driven applications with deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern CSS.
• A portfolio demonstrating technical depth and design sensibility, plus proven experience building and maintaining design systems in production.
• Technical fluency with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, a tinkerer's mindset focused on systems and leverage points, and strong convictions about quality that ships.
