Managing Director, Development

This role will focus on philanthropic revenue growth by strategically leading fundraising and development efforts. This includes driving all aspects of philanthropic revenue growth, with a focus on major gifts, foundations, and institutional partnerships. The role requires developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow and diversify revenue from the current $5M base, and identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of major donors and foundation prospects. Additionally, the Managing Director will lead strategic engagement of UpStart’s Board of Directors in fundraising, support board giving and activation, and staff and support the Board Development Committee. Requires 10-12 years of professional experience in fundraising or development and a proven track record of securing major philanthropic gifts.
