Software Engineer (Contract, Argentina)

About the Role:

• This is a contract role through Deel in Argentina, supporting the Employer Experience and Talent Discovery Team.
• You will contribute to Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related employer-facing experiences.
• The engagement is approximately 12 months, non-exclusive, and fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and improve full-stack experiences for Talent Matching and Talent Rediscovery.
• Design and ship search-backed capabilities using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing, query design, and relevance tuning.
• Develop matching systems combining keyword, structured, semantic, and AI/ML signals.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of production code experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python; Ruby and Rails preferred.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React.
• Deep experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch in production.
• Practical experience applying AI or ML techniques such as embeddings, semantic search, or ranking.
