Senior Editor, Impact Content & Paid Media

Role Overview:

• The Senior Editor provides editorial and strategic support to the VP of Underwriting Editorial Products & Sponsored Content.
• This role ensures alignment between state-specific goals and company mission to maximize impact and revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement editorial content strategy for paid and impact content, ensuring alignment with Courier's mission and goals.
• Directly manage a roster of freelance writers and video correspondents, editing content for accuracy and fairness.
• Mentor team members, conduct regular check-ins, and provide feedback to optimize content.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years experience in journalism and editorial leadership.
• Strong editing skills and experience with content creation for marketing or campaigns.
• Passion for local journalism and understanding of data analytics for content optimization.
