  • Lead weekend newsroom operations, setting editorial priorities and directing breaking news coverage.
  • Manage and mentor reporters, assigning stories and ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with editorial, production, and audience teams to maximize impact of weekend coverage.

  • Produce 5-7 stories weekly for muskokaregion.com, focusing on civic journalism in Huntsville and Lake of Bays.
  • Cover local councils, school boards, law enforcement, courts, and other government bodies.
  • Work independently in a virtual newsroom while conducting interviews and taking photographs in the area.
