Activities:

  • Stay abreast of federal and state policy debates related to child care, paid leave, and family policy.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and identify opportunities to advance IW’s policy approach.
  • Support policy staff with research and drafting of content for IW platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft policy papers and issue briefs related to family policy.
  • Draft blogs and op-eds on developments in child care, paid leave, and related issues.
  • Create and maintain resources tracking key legislation, regulations, and policy trends.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to translate complex policy into clear, compelling content.
  • A strong interest in family policy, including child care and paid leave.
  • A “yes” attitude and strong self-directed work ethic.
