Activities:
- Stay abreast of federal and state policy debates related to child care, paid leave, and family policy.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and identify opportunities to advance IW’s policy approach.
- Support policy staff with research and drafting of content for IW platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Draft policy papers and issue briefs related to family policy.
- Draft blogs and op-eds on developments in child care, paid leave, and related issues.
- Create and maintain resources tracking key legislation, regulations, and policy trends.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to translate complex policy into clear, compelling content.
- A strong interest in family policy, including child care and paid leave.
- A “yes” attitude and strong self-directed work ethic.
