The Legal Counsel, Marketing & Advertising will join Wealthsimple’s Regulatory (Reg) Team, which is a team of trailblazing legal, compliance and risk experts, who thrive by partnering with Wealthsimple’s R&D teams to create new and innovative products. Reg Team is defined by its creativity, resourcefulness, hustle and determination. Provide legal counsel and guidance on advertising and marketing campaigns, including reviewing advertising materials for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and drafting and reviewing promotional or contest terms and conditions. Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements related to marketing and advertising, such as sponsorship agreements, influencer agreements and agency agreements. Respond and track risk escalations and investigate possible complaints related to advertising materials. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in advertising regulations, and advise clients on best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
