As an intern, you'll be part of a high-performing team conducting research that makes a difference, helping analyze bills and policies to identify legislation that helps Illinois taxpayers and uncover bills that would hurt taxpayers; uncovering information generally unavailable to the public that is held by state and local government units, working remotely as part of the institute’s policy and litigation team, with the option to work in our Chicago office.
The intern for State Policies will contribute to MPPF’s mission of reforming cannabis laws and educating cannabis regulators, consumers, and state legislators. Under the supervision of the Director of State Policies, the intern’s primary functions will include research and writing related to cannabis policy, and monitoring legislation. This position requires real-time outreach and research with limited oversight.
We seek a Sr. Counsel to lead our legal team supporting Global Affairs in navigating complex new regulations applicable to AI. This role will coordinate our legal efforts globally in developing positions on proposed AI legislation, and work closely with other legal and business teams in ensuring compliance with new AI regulations. This role is remote eligible but based in Seattle, WA.
