Lead and scale Upstart’s Mobile Software Engineering organization, shaping and driving our overall mobile strategy. Your leadership will ensure that our mobile technology delivers a seamless, engaging, and high-performing user experience. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Legal & Compliance, UX/UI Design, Data Analytics, and Loan Product teams to drive mobile innovation and excellence.

Lead the end-to-end development of our AI-first banking mobile application. This hands-on leadership role involves architecting, developing, and deploying a world-class React Native application for both iOS and Android. Design scalable, high-performance, and AI-driven mobile interfaces optimized for banking and drive frontend excellence and innovation.

Work with a team of developers, QA, Engineering Manager, and a Product Owner to build the iOS app. Develop and maintain the application for the iOS platform in a fast development cycle, coordinating APIs provided by supporting teams using 100% Swift codebase. Contribute to technical tasks, feedback forms, and technical interviews, participating in code reviews and product/design meetings.

You'll primarily work on our Android app, but will occasionally stretch into some iOS work as well. These apps enable all of our multifamily residents to control the devices in their units, so the direct impact you’ll have on our users is substantial. The ideal candidate is someone who leans towards Android development.
