You will create a comprehensive product with an extensive mobile and web application. You will build code and ensure the quality of the system, which will positively impact its users and change the world for the better. You will collaborate directly with the CTO and the team within the agile methodology.
As a Senior Software Engineer II on Automation, you will architect and design some of the most critical and forward-facing parts of the Automation Platform. You’ll be helping to set Samsara’s strategy around Event Architecture and re-usable RPCs. You’ll also be helping to ensure our product can scale to production demands while maintaining flexibility in our system for new requirements.
Be the technical driver of one of the most critical systems in our product ecosystem, the Online Booking domain, which powers over 20 million patient–doctor appointments each month. Dive deep into our legacy monolith, experiment, propose solutions, and lead the journey of decomposing it into smaller, more evolvable components. This role is both highly technical and collaborative, contributing actively to the technical direction of the area.
Be fully responsible and accountable for managing your team(s), ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery with high operational standards. Actively partner with your Product counterparts and Staff Engineers to shape the direction of your area and the company. The role reports directly to the Engineering Director and offers the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the area while receiving mentorship and support.
Independently contribute to the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions across our web platforms and mobile applications. You’ll own key technical decisions and collaborate closely with product, design, and platform teams to build scalable features and ensure high performance across our iOS and Android apps. You’ll influence architecture, drive engineering best practices, and mentor teammates.
