Production Editor, Copy

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Copywriters to copyedit decks and proofread design comps and builds.
• Become a product expert to read copy in multiple placements with an eye toward accuracy and consistency.
• Set up copy decks using templates or build new templates as needed.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate global copy changes that affect multiple deliverables.
• Draft accessibility copy using templates and/or AI tools.
• Draft alternative versions for global partners based on existing copy.

Production and Workflow:

• Manage copy after creative reviews as it moves into production, including reviewing and making edits in website builds.
• Communicate copy changes to developers in a clear and concise manner.
• Comfort with learning new tech tools and developing systems for efficiency.

Requirements:

• At least three years of specific copyediting and proofreading experience.
• Sharp eye for detail and excitement about learning product intricacies.
• Comfort with proofreading quickly, collaboration, and proactive communication.
• Experience with Mac, Pages, and Box is a plus; digital agency experience preferred.
