ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establishes and nurtures productive relationships with key personnel in assigned distributor accounts, leading sales strategy and ownership of objectives to deliver volume and profit.
- Owns cross-functional relationships at distributor headquarters and local sites, understanding their 'go to market' strategy to apply the J&J portfolio and trade rates effectively.
- Delivers strong internal leadership, managing account production, distribution, products, pricing, and conducting necessary training sessions for stakeholders.
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a thorough understanding of the foodservice industry, national distributor culture, operations, and strategy, along with product concept development and financial acumen.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' progressive foodservice sales experience, including national distribution headquarters and local division account management.
- Demonstrates strong verbal, written, presentation, follow-up skills, and functional competencies in selling, negotiating, financial management, and inventory management.
LOGISTICS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in PC tools like Microsoft Office and Salesforce, and able to carry/lift up to 40 lbs. for food show displays.
- Must be able and willing to work occasional weekends as business needs dictate, with overnight travel requirements via car or airplane.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required, and candidates must have a valid driver’s license and pass a drug test and background check.
