Engineering Manager

Role Summary:

• We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Collection team that builds and operates systems for discovering, scanning, and collecting Internet data.
• This manager will own people leadership, technical roadmap, delivery, and operational health, partnering with Product, Research, and other engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, coach, and develop Scanner Engineers and Distributed Systems Engineers with clear expectations for ownership and quality.
• Define the Data Collection roadmap with stakeholders, connecting priorities to measurable improvements in coverage, freshness, and reliability.
• Guide architecture across scanning, orchestration, distributed services, and ingestion pipelines while establishing standards for design and operational readiness.

What You’ll Bring:

• Three years of engineering management or team leadership experience and a track record of leading substantial technical initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and data-intensive systems like streaming services and databases.
• Experience operating critical systems in production and developing engineers through coaching and delegation.
