Job Description
Perform initial review of export and deemed export requests. Use knowledge of federal, state, local, statutes, regulations, guidance, policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, best practices, and systems to provide guidance and analysis. Accurately review, analyze, and provide initial approval/determination/resolution on submissions and inquiries. Assist in pre-review, review, approval and post-approval processes on research involving foreign components and/or export controls. Field, triage and respond to incoming questions. Maintain high level of confidentiality and use of sound independent judgment. Contribute to development and maintenance of policies, standard operating procedures, office website, and export control manual. Provide functional expertise to ITG, department and end users including on the use of, implementation, training and enhancement of electronic systems and departmental website content.
