Technical Skills:

• Demonstrate expertise in US GAAP with a focus on ASC 606 and ASC 815 and regulatory accounting requirements, ensuring accurate application to revenue recognition and accounting for prime brokerage services.
• Apply advanced skills in Google Sheets to efficiently and reliably work with large data sets.
• Proven ability to account for complex matrix organizational structures and intercompany transactions.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

• Lead the accounting team through the intricacies of accounting related to digital asset and OTC derivative prime brokerage activities and products.
• Drive the development of scalable and automated financial processes and controls, leveraging your technical expertise to design and implement internal end-to-end trading system reporting.
• Perform and/or review month end accounting close responsibilities for brokerage related legal entities.

Communication and Influence:

• Leverage accounting expertise to provide guidance and requirements to product, brokerage operations, legal and engineering teams in designing and implementing new products.
• Assist with internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Interact with regulators such as the NFA and CFTC as we navigate the swap-dealer registration process and ongoing regulatory compliance, including examinations.
