Drive the execution and continuous improvement of Vanta’s billing processes while leading projects that enhance scalability, accuracy, and efficiency across the order-to-cash lifecycle. Partner closely with Finance, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, and Customer Experience to implement operational improvements that support growth, compliance, and customer trust. Oversee key billing initiatives, manage complex escalations, and design processes that strengthen Vanta’s billing infrastructure.
Assist with the revenue recognition process, including perpetual, maintenance, subscription and services. Complete month-end procedures, such as general ledger closing and account reconciliations. Ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606. Analyze and forecast monthly/quarterly revenue performance. Work with sales, marketing, and finance to ensure accurate revenue reporting. Perform additional duties and special projects to support the finance department.

As Senior Revenue Accountant, you'll play a critical role in the accuracy of Vanta's financials and the evolution of their accounting operations. You’ll own some of the most complex and high-judgment areas of their close, like revenue reconciliations, revenue reporting, and commission deferrals and accruals, while also reviewing lower-risk areas such as cash payout postings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
This role is mission-critical: ensuring timely, accurate GAAP-compliant closes, preparing for audits, supporting ERP integration, and partnering with the Controller to establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance. You’ll be both a builder (standing up scalable processes) and an operator (executing closes, reconciliations, AR/AP, and controls).
