What You’ll Contribute in This Role:
- Underwrite consumer loan requests including personal loans, auto loans, HELOCs, and PLOCs.
- Underwrite portfolio mortgage loans and construction-to-permanent loans.
- Analyze tax returns, appraisals, and collateral documentation.
Credit Risk Management:
- Assess borrower willingness and ability to repay.
- Evaluate collateral adequacy and marketability.
- Recommend approval, denial, or approval with conditions.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with TILA, RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending regulations.
- Maintain complete loan files and documentation.
- Communicate approval conditions and documentation deficiencies.
