The Linguist performs quality control tasks and on-demand translation tasks, and takes on linguistic lead functions on assigned projects. They coordinate the activities of a group of translators for assigned accounts or projects, train and develops freelancers, and ensures that the work is performed at a satisfactorily high standard within the specified deadlines and quality level. They ensure that the Language Process is being followed by the project/account team. Essential duties include performing quality control, on-demand translation, trans-creation, and post-editing tasks (EN > FRCA), managing project-related queries, and maintaining language materials. Candidates will develop and train new and existing freelancers, ensure interaction among team members, and participate in the development of improved working processes. The requirements include fluency in French Canadian and English, experience as a translator in Mobile Apps, Search Engines, and knowledge of terminology in IT consumer products, social media and entertainment.
