What You'll Do:

  • Enter patient data from healthcare provider lab order requisitions into the Laboratory Information System accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance monitoring to ensure integrity and accuracy of the registration process.
  • Translate physician orders and diagnoses from requisition forms while adhering to HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.

Education & Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous specimen processing experience preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to learn and effectively use Interpath Laboratory's internal registration system.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computers and laboratory applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
  • Utilize keyboard throughout entire shift, performing data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for occasional office tasks.
