Controller & Client Accounting Advisor (Independent School Focus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the strategic Controller and primary financial advisor for a portfolio of 10-20 independent schools or nonprofits.
• Prepare and present financial insights to Boards and Finance Committees, turning complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Lead regular client conversations to assess financial health, identify risks, and guide decision-making on cash flow and operational efficiency.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience for Independent Schools.
• Proven experience in client advisory services and/or an Assistant Controller/Controller role, with required experience using Veracross.
• Strong analytical and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial topics simply and thrive in a remote environment.
